About the tour
The TEKKEN World Tour is an international tournament series for the iconic fighting franchise TEKKEN! The series sees BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Inc. teaming up with Twitch to bring competitors from around the world together to fight for the title of World Champion! The TEKKEN World Tour stops at 27 Master and Challenger tournaments, and its new Dojo Tournament system creates even more opportunities for players to earn Ranking Points for the Tour Leaderboard! The Tour’s Leaderboard will identify the 19 TEKKEN players worthy of an invite to the 2019 TEKKEN World Tour Finals. Join the Tour today and become the King of the Iron Fist!
TEKKEN World Tour is an 8 month tournament series allowing players to qualify for the TEKKEN World Tour Finals. Players qualify by:
- Placing in the Top 19 players on the Global Ranking Leaderboard
- Winning the Last Chance Qualifier tournament at the Finals
Players placing at TEKKEN World Tour tournaments will obtain Ranking Points based on their results. Points breakdown is as follows:
Master and Master+ tournaments are the tent-poles of the TEKKEN World Tour. Each of these tournaments are expected to draw international competition and awards Ranking Points to 1st through 25th Place. Evo is the special Master+ tournament, awarding increased Ranking Points to 1st through 49th place. Your best 3 Master/Master+ tournament results count towards your Leaderboard ranking.
Challenger tournaments take place in exciting locations around the world and award standard Ranking Points to 1st through 25th Place. Your best 3 Challenger tournament results count towards your Leaderboard ranking.
Independent organizers around the world can apply for their offline tournaments to be recognized by TWT! Dojo tournaments award Ranking Points from 1st through 9th place depending on bracket size. There are 4 levels of Ranking Points awarded for Dojo tournaments and they begin at just 16 entrants! Your best 4 Dojo tournament results count towards your Leaderboard ranking.
It all comes down to this! 20 players enter the final battle to see who will be crowned World Champion and take-home eternal bragging rights. The breakdown of the 20 players is as follows: The Top 19 from the Global Leaderboard and the winner of the Last Chance Qualifier.
